Resolutions
Hi all :)..lol....
Have to laugh on the 'all'...sorry....I suppose I should say....'hi the one or two'...lol ...huh ?
Anyhow, the New Year has come and gone. I usually don't make resolutions, but this year I quietly to myself did, not expecting to have them come to fruition. I honestly don't know too many that can make resolutions and stick to them. So I often thought that they were really a bunch of crap and a waste of energy foolin ourselves into thinking we are so diligent in carrying out what we should be able to do in the course of a year's time without making any 'special effort' to do so. Well.........I guess the 'special effort ' does pay off if one really wants it to. I actually made several resolutions and suprisingly none were too difficult to accomplish. So I wondered what held me back from doing them earlier ? I had no answers, but maybe I had more of the 'outside effect' really determining whether or not those commitments actually got accomplished. Sometimes it's the 'other' elements that weren't present prior that really do the 'need to get' those resolutions accomplished more than ourselves alone !
So ,with what has been accomplished and what remains, the total commitment seems very well with-in reach and the year has just begun. I wonder if I should add a few more since these that seemed so unreachable for years are now history ! ...lol......we shall see, but for the ones that have been accomplished, I am glad that I don't have them 'hangin around' to remind me why it has taken so long to get them done.
The first was to have the garage cleaned out so that I can utilize is as such vs. a storage area and a collection area for things I just haven't found a place for or to be determined it was 'junk' that should be tossed. I actually accomplished this feat just before the New Year, since I was aware that I would be unavailable to do it at or immediately on the New Year. Plus I had a 'need' to get this task taken care of because I was going to be 'out of town' and needed the use of the garage as a garage to take the car out of the public's eye. Now it's nice to just push a button and drive inside, particularly during rainy weather ! It's really nice!
My second task was to eliminate myself from 'drift wood'! By that I mean anything and anyone that is a detriment to my forward motion in either accomplishments or relationships. Now this one I really thought was going to be a harder task than it turned out to be. Once again..the real issue is to identify and then react to what it takes to accomplish the task. The 'thing' part of this is an ongoing event that I suspect will be through out the year. Tackling one item then the next and so on. What really surprised me most of all was the relationship part of this resolution. For years I always cared enough of others that I would often overlook the 'negative' effects from others and make 'excuses' to accept them whether the excuses were of my own generation or from those others involved.
Well, much to my surprise, one of the relationship items self destructed themselves making my decisions and choices unnecessary with that individual. I'm not going to say that I am happy about the end results but yes, it's a 'positive' action that has finally happened considering all the years where there were none. So it's really interesting how 'cleaning out a garage' can possibly clean out much more in the long run. When one is on a 'roll', there is a much wider impact than one can imagine.
So now I guess, I'll just have to wait and see how the remaining 'resolutions' end up. I'd be surprised if my good fortune continues. I'm a firm believer that things happen in groups of threes and we are all known to each other within the number of 8.
I just can't determine at this time which other resolution will be accomplished to finish of the group of the 3 happenings, but I am willing to wait it out...lol . I do hope it's a 'positive' even if it doesn't initially look like it might be.
As for how things work against you , it too also follows the 'three rule'...and yes, upon returning from a trip up North, unexpectedly I found upon returning a 'blog'...yet to be written. More to follow one of these days....lol.....
Hope all had a pleasant holiday season and now you can get your feet back on the ground and be a better person than the year prior. It would be nice....huh !! lol < :)
As always,
Smile and be smiled upon; someone maybe relying on it!
Till next time,
Steve
