The Thrill

Are you one of those people that love to see the wrath of 'Mother Nature' ? I know...I am...lol....
Not that I want anyone to be injured or property to be destroyed.. Oh no...not that at all. It's just the 'unpredictability' and ''fury' of what our enviornment can produce. The 'oh hum' days are ok..for sure....particularly in sunny Florida...
But, boy oh boy....do I love a 'storm'...of any kind. When I lived up North in the Boston area..and had to be out in the weather no matter what, I couldn't wait for a winter 'noreaster' or a 'severe' by northern standards, an electrical storm which pales in comparison to our Florida electrical storms or even one of my favorites...a 'blizzard'...lol.....Call me 'nuts'...but there is something that 'excites' me. My adrenalin rushes and my heart beats faster than a speeding bullet as if it was jumping right out of my chest.....not even a 'heart surgeon' would be able to do much about it...for I gaze in awe...like that 'little boy' in the 'candy store' holding back all kinds of internal emotions.....lol.
And what does a 'hurricane' do for me....hmmmm....I literally 'explode' with excitement !!! No need to go into detail...this blog has no 'damage control'.....lol.
Sure all the preparation to minimize damage and limit injury to life and limb might be a lot of work ...but if it's a 'big one'...it's all worth it.
So, as the first 'tropical' storm ravages the 'Sunshine State'...I'm in my 'glory'. Tons of heavy rain, moderate winds and unfortunately for me...no lightning....hmmmm....
A 'teaser' for sure...but I know this is only the first of many for the season...maybe bigger and much more 'excitable' for my 'thrill seeking personality to look forward too.
This storm was a 'sneaker' for it really wasn't the fact of it being a 'near hurricane' catagory one that was interesting....but more like the number of 'tornadoes' that it spawned. Some were fairly close to my location and others not so ...but wow.....a thrill all the same !!
So my 'hat' goes off to 'Mother Nature', the fickle raging and sometimes funny 'female' entity that 'masters' this often mundane world ....life sure can be fun and interesting as long as no one gets hurt and we all have a place to call 'home' that's left standing intact.
So till next time....this thrill seeker has his eyes to the sky and with great anticipation for the 'next' surprise .....:)...lol....Thanks Alberto.....
