Huh ?

Hi all ...
Welcome to my world or at least a glimpse into it as I trudge along.
Let me explain....not that my world is really that much different than yours, however I do think that I perspectively 'see ' and 'understand' things literally different than most do. It doesn't mean that I am 'right' and you are 'wrong' and it surely doesn't mean whatever the subject matter is it's practiced or stated to be as such is the only way it has to be despite the fact often it always is the 'only way' it seems to be.

I do believe that most of us think we are of free will and spirit with the freedom to think if not to act and speak our minds, but believe it or not , most are not ! By that I mean, there are so many things in our 'society' that we 'accept' out of failure to believe that we as individuals singular in stance or unified by many can't make things better or makes more logical sense and perspectively less expensive to survive in our type of society. It doesn't always have to 'hit the pocketbook', but unfortunately, ultimately most of the time it does.

Now, I for one understand how things presently are under most circumstances since I am a very analytical and a logical type of person or so most that know me say I am. Given that, either a 'blessing' or a 'curse', I find that things just aren't as they should be and should someone like myself 'discuss' it with someone, oh boy, then I really can say my thoughts are or should be to myself, for I often feel as tho I am from outer space and from another tiered society!! :) LOL.

It really doesn't take much if one really just 'examines' the world around them regarding 'policies' or 'practices' !
Do most really make sense? Do they 'cost' more than they should for a product or service provided ? Do things have 'value' in perspective to the 'need' or 'wants' ? Hey, what about things such as house/car/boat insurances? Now that really irritates me. Here's why !

Let's quickly examine the housing insurance crises that is currently a plague to the nation, particularly states that are hardest hit with natural disasters. Most insurers pull a whammy on policy holders and jack the prices thru the roof unabling the policy holder to 'afford' the protection that for most is mandatory because the 'lender' states it to be so . Of course I understand the 'lender' wants 'protection' for its 'investment' and that is fine. But what isn't ok in my book is this.....when a policy holder no longer can afford the coverage, the lender 'forces' coverage on the 'propery owner' at rates that are so exaggerated above the going rate leaving the property owner with the inability to pay. For if they could they would have coverage on their own at the lower rate. Now does that makes sense ?? Hell NO !
So where are or what becomes the option...there aren't any...except for the property owner to sell or have foreclosure. I'm not against the protection requred by the lender but what rule of common sense do they follow? If a product is too expensive for an individual to purchase as an individual for the protection of its lender, how does the lender think that they can 'force' the product onto their policy holder at such a higher rate in order to protect their investment ? And what tops it off its the same product at a much higher rate that the individual couldn't afford to start with...so why the 'jack up' ? So my logic states....ok let the 'lender' fend and find its own insurance...heck its really for its own investment that the consumer ends up paying for to start with when they can afford it. Don't you think it should be a 'partnership' ....the give and take....not just the 'take' . ? And who says the 'lender' 'gives'.....I don't think so ....we only pay thru the nose even with the best of them. Doesn't this sound kinda confusing ?
Yes..I simplified it a bit on this 'analogy'....but heck....the end results remains the same......this world we call our society is definitely messed up and most accept it as 'normal'....well, not this 'potato head'.......I find this society for the most part....all 'f'd up' !
So what is your 'pet peeve' that is 'accepted as 'normal' but you know it isn't ?? I know there a tons of things...soooo let me know :) POST IT !!

One of my pet peeves that is considered "normal" is the fact that people just don't do their jobs properly. So when someone actually DOES do their job it's like you want to send them a thank you card because you actually got something accomplished, rather than dealing with the usual inept results.

Which pet peeve should I choose....hmmmmm.... probably the one currently on my mind, ie.... employers that make it difficult on their employees to work.... poor work conditions, extreme heat and cold.... then penalyze the employees for getting sick.
