Again it returns......

Hi ...tis me again :)
Ok..ok...so it's 'Idol Mania' time again ! Yup, I watch faithfully to see who will get their 15 min of shame. Ya know, I'm really hard pressed this season so far to find a 'good talent'. Yes, I've heard a couple that might shine as the competition rolls along, but for the majority, I do think they are going to be woken up with a lot of disappointment.

Let's face it, the tryouts were really the worse since the hit program started. Filled with nothing but flat notes, screaches, moans and groans and people with attitudes. Where do these people think that they can sing is really something. Eventho vocally, the majority just didn't/doesn't have it, I was amazed at the amount of 'brazened boldness' and 'confidence' with a ton of self rightousness most contestants showed, especially those that had the worst of the worse voices. I just don't get how one doesn't know actually how badly they sound or is it that the country's taste in 'music' and 'talent' hit rock bottom. I don't care which city they came from or which gender they reside in, the 'writing is on the wall' as to how this/that 'generation' thinks, perceives themselves and how they expect others to respond and act to/for them. Geeeesh people, wake up !! No wonder poor Simon 'Growells'.......lol...

Also, this show is for 'singing'....not for dancing, screaming, mumbling, juggling, jivin, and or any other freakside circus act ! I 'm all in favor for next season to 'prescreen' these socalled 'Idol Wannabees' and get at least some 'talent' shown prior to 'Holllywood week'.....Geeesh !
Does all this mean I won't be watching 'Idol' ? LOL...absolutely not ! Of course I will watch now, since I suffered thru such 'terrible pains' all those weeks before.
Since it's so early in the process , I haven't takin a likin to any one particular contestant yet. Hopefully, in a few weeks time, the ones with 'some talent' will start to emerge and the show then will be bringing out the best.

Anyhow, I probably shouldn't say much ...lol...for who knows....one day, I might be the next American Idol....lol.....eventho the only notes I can carry is leaving on the next train. Now that is something I positively without a doubt just can't do. Singing is for the pros and for one that has a given talent and gift.....not these 'screaming eagles' that want notoriety!
Peace be with all....hand me the ear plugs and butter up the pop corn..
So ....Idol..... here I sit glued to my tv 'wishin and a hopin' that no one sees me make an 'ass' out of myself !
till next time America....
Always,
Steve

I just said to Mom that I know I say this every season, but WOW, is there some talent out there this year. Really good, good people made it through this year...no quirky ones. Just real deal talent. It's going to be good this season....

I think there are a few good ones this year, especially among the women.

My husband and I were talking about how music has changed so much that it is becoming harder for children to really understand and appreciate true MUSIC. Bands that are celebrated aren't all musically talented or sound. I think we need to start with young children and teach them, first, to sing w/out music so they can learn pitch, rhythm, etc.
